Indiana State Parks

Though we usually search for a more rugged and remote place to set up camp, Jake & I cannot deny our admiration for Indiana's State Parks.

Jake grew up camping at several of Indiana's state parks, and I joined in the fun shortly after we started dating.  Our first camping trip together back in 1996 was at Indiana Dunes State Park.  Jake & I continued to frequent Indiana's state parks in the years that followed, with McCormick's Creek State Park probably setting the record for Jake & Susan's Most Visited Indiana State Park.

Turkey Run State Park--January 2006

We still enjoy hiking Indiana's state parks, and we now prefer staying in the state park inns over camping in the campgrounds.  We choose a night or two at one of the inns if we are seeking a time of leisure &/or rejuvenation from life's busy pace.
